Somewhere Between bridges the gap between two worlds; one of my own memory, and that of the memories belonging to an anonymous family. After receiving and becoming familiar the lost family album of an unknown origin, I began to imagine myself as a part of this family. Drawing from the idea that family images often portray a false reality, one full of perfection and happiness, the idea of belonging to this family took hold of me. I created photomontages of my own photography and inserted the mother and daughter from the family inside the frames within windows, creating a new reality that blends both mine and theirs together. Incorporating soundscapes added an immersive effect along with projecting the video through a translucent screen.
